How to make French fries at home


French fries are best when they are crispy and crunchy. Usually homemade fries do not turn crunchy and they won’t taste as good. There different types of making French fries but what we are talking about here is known as double frying. Here are the steps on how to make Crispy French fries at home.

Here are the ingredients you will need to make French fries: -
  • 7 pieces baking potatoes
  • A dash of salt
  • 4 cups of cooking oil
Here is how you do it –
1. Peel the potatoes well. You will save more time if you use a vegetable peeler.
2. Cut the potatoes into long and thin pieces. I’m sure you have seen it outside.
3. Keep the potatoes in cold and icy water for about half an hour
4. Take the water out and dry the potatoes by keeping them on a piece of clean cloth
5. Put the oil on the stove and turn the heat high. Let the oil become completely hot and reduce the flame.
6. Place the potatoes inside the frying pan in the hot oil and let it boil for 10 minutes. Make sure that you do not put too many at once.
7. Remove the potatoes and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
8. Put the fried potatoes back in the fryer and let it fry for 3 minutes.
9. Remove the potatoes after the 3 minutes are done and place them on a paper towel so that it will get the extra oil.
10. Sprinkle some salt for its taste.
11. You can keep some ketchup as the sauce while serving
12. Enjoy.
