Its Cocktail Hour!!

Why should boys have all the fun??? If guys can have their poker and beer nights, we need our quintessential girly-do’s with gossip and cocktails!!! Here are 4 easy cocktails handpicked for hosting the perfect girls-night-in or maybe a classy cocktail hour with the ladies-who-lunch! These are easy to fix, non messy and absolutely yum!

But feel free to innovate and add your little twists..how do you think bartenders come up with these anyway!

Mohito!
You need,

• White Rum 60 ml
• Juice of 1 medium lime
• Sugar (powdered or syrup) , 2 tsp
• Mint 2-4 sprigs
• Soda Water
• LOTS of ice

Blending Instructions:

• Lightly muddle the mint and sugar with a splash of soda water in a mixing glass until the sugar dissolve and you smell the mint
• Squeeze the lime into the glass, add rum and shake with ice
• Strain over cracked ice in a highball glass
• Top with soda water, garnish with mint sprig and serve

Screwdriver
This one is the easiest to blend.

You need,

• 60 ml Vodka
• Orange Juice to top up
• Ice

Blending Instructions:

• Just pour into a glass with ice and serve with a wedge of orange or lemon!

Cosmopolitan
A hit with the gals, thanks to Sex and the City.

You need,

• 60 ml Vodka
• 25ml Cointreau
• Cranberry Juice
• Dash of lime

Blending Instructions:

• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients. Shake till very cold. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Margherita

You need,

• 45 ml Tequila
• 30 ml Cointreau or Triple sec
• Juice of one lemon
• 15 ml Lime Cordial
• Crushed Ice

Blending Instructions:

• Shake all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker and pour in margarita glasses (preferably with a salt rim.)
